Buying with “Just One Click Away” Is Not a Phrase Anymore
In the world of online shopping “Buy now” and “Add to cart” buttons are a codeword for getting ready to start filling out forms. Whenever we buy something online there are forms for passwords, usernames, mobile phone numbers, credit card numbers. Swiipe, a Danish fintech company found a way to save online shoppers from filling out data forms and checking on their passwords.
Founded in 2017 by Anders Riis and Caspar Oreskov, spirited entrepreneurs with experience in payments and IT, Swiipe already managed to raise 6 million DKK from Business Angels and was selected as a finalist at this year Nordic Startup Awards in Best Bootstrapped Startup category.
Never Have to Fill in Forms Again
Swiipe is a solution that shortens online checkout and payment by storing data of users who shop on e-commerce platforms and subscribers to online services. All they have to do is log in with their Swiipe account and click “buy”.
Because of one password and one-click method the product is appealing to end users and increases conversion rates for e-commerce websites. At the same time, it provides higher retention rates for online subscription services.
Available in Denmark, for Now
The company sees Mobile Pay and Paypal as potential partners because Swiipe is a completely open platform that can be integrated into any payment provider. Swiipe will also be a pioneer in implementing account to account transactions through PSD2, which will reduce the transaction costs and further increase retention and conversion rates.
For now, Swiipe is only available in Denmark, where the e-commerce market total turnover in 2017 was 83.8 billion DKK.
According to the company’s founders, Swiipe is building implementations for different e-commerce platforms and developing standard solutions that are easy to adopt.
