29 startups gathered at DARE2mansion to fight for a spot in the new Copenhagen based accelerator program Thinkubator. With 130+ applicants the 29 startups were chosen and pitched in front of a jury this week. Six were selected at the audition last week and the final four were announced this week.
Thinkubator is focused on helping early stage startups create what they call scalable positive impact.
The program is funded by Call Me, SAXO.com, and DARE2mansion and features high profile partners like Microsoft, Singularity University, Neurons Inc., Jyske Bank TV, and the Danish Business Authority who are all contributing valuable resources as part of the program.
The day’s auditions focused on showcasing the startups in different scenarios. There were elevator pitches, lighting rounds with the judges (SAXO, Call Me, Singularity, University, Startupbootcamp, Microsoft and DARE2), and a case competition where they had to work with each other to build a super company.
The final 10
At the end of the day, six teams out of ten were selected for thinkubator including Appi Dappi, AthGene, Be My Eyes, Lo-Fi World, OPAL, and Tiimo. This decision came after much deliberation by the judges as talent was high and competition fierce amongst the candidates.
The final four teams to be admitted to the program were announced on Monday March 2nd; Artboost, Clumeo, Huntoa and Ideanote.
Participation in thinkubator’s 10 week accelerator from April 7th to June 19th includes a 2,000 euro grant, free office space at DARE2mansion, a host of Microsoft services, and access to exclusive networking opportunities to help companies grow.
While the program is capped at 10 spots, thinkubator will be hosting a multitude of open events with worldclass speakers from institutions like Singularity University. If you would like to stay up to day about these events, sign up on the website for the newsletter.
