CROWD15, the biggest crowdsourcing and crowdfunding conference in the Nordics, was held 26 and 27 of February. The conference was held in Copenhagen’s stock exchange’s facilities and Nordicstartupbits was present at the event.
The CROWD15 conference had a content rich program, with several speakers from some of the most successful startup, which focus on the strength of crowdsourcing and crowdfunding in their business model.
5 million visits per month and 1.3 million Facebook likes
Thus started Johan Plenge, CEO and Founder of Tattodo, the first day of the event, by talking about his collaboration with Ami James from Miami Ink and the establishing a crowdsourcing tattoo website. He also talked about how they achieved over 5 million monthly visits, and reached 1.3 million likes on Facebook, within eighteen months.
Later came speeches from Airbnb, Elance-oDesk and many more great startups. The second day of CROWD15 continued in the same fashion with speeches from FundedByMe, Nosco and others, as well as a presentation by Benny Engelbrecht, Minister of Taxation.
Most of the people in the audience was from major public as well as private organizations and companies, although CROWD15 was promoted as an event for startups and entrepreneurs.
What is crowdfunding?
The purpose of CROWD15 was to inform people about the many benefits of crowdfunding and crowdsourcing.
Crowdfunding is a topic that divide the waters. Heartreacher gave a short but precise explanation of what crowdfunding is, so that all could begin the conference with a basic understanding of the concepts.

Audiocase launched Kickstarter campaign
Danish Audiocase launched their Kickstart campaign during the second day of CROWD15, to illustrate some of the many benefits of crowdfunding. The campaign was a huge success, and had reached 51 percent of total goal within 48 hours of the launch.
