STARTnordic, is organizing a cross-country collaboration for the greater good. The project aims to create a framework that will better enable potential high growth companies to reach unicorn levels of success, and consolidating the small Nordic countries into a single regional powerhouse.
As part of this initiative, STARTnordic is providing free flights and accommodation to San Francisco for the LAUNCH Festival on March 2-4th, 2016.
The tour will be called the #NordicMade tour, as the hashtag unites the Nordic countries under one brand.
For startups, this is a great opportunity to showcase their products and services, meet like minded people, or, perhaps most importantly, find future investors.
The LAUNCH Festival is among the largest startup events in the world, with over 15.000 “founders” and more than 250 key speakers on 4 stages.
STARTnordic plans to ship 30 of the best startups from the region to start-up hostspots such as San Francisco, New York, and London, and learn more about these entrepreneurial ecosystems. By building connections and finding the right individuals and organizations in each city, they hope to build a roadmap that startups can follow and inject this new knowledge into the Nordic ecosystem.
They also hope to build an ongoing Nordic presence at key events and conferences in leading startup hubs. Pirate Summit was the first in the line. However, activities under the #NordicMade brand has been organized by a wide range of organizations and communities, such as the opening of NASDAQ bell ceremony in New York and recently at SLUSH in November.
