The Nordic rocketship “United Nordics#1” ignites and takes off with a clear mission and goal. The astronauts of United Nordics # 1 are from all parts of the Nordic region, they want help brand the Nordics as super stars to build technology startups
To take a man to the mon required a lot of resources and not to compare with the task we have done and the task ahead. But to build a network of ambassadors that want to support our mission in every part of the Nordic region have been a task bigger than we thought it would be. (a typically startup mindset). But now we have a rocketship, with an engine, a solid frame and brave astronauts from Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm, Stavanger, Uppsala and Aarhus. Astronaut that want to support the local- and Nordic ecosystem.
We want to cover the entire region as one united region
Inside the rocketship next to the control center we have printed our mission statement. “Our mission is to cover Nordic early stage technology startups at an unseen level. We want to change the landscape with focus on digital entrepreneurship and help fostering even more”.
The importance for knowledge sharing in the region is second to none and the synergy between the stories that brands the entire region as a United Nordics and the exposure the early stage startups get is unique and each story will emphasize the brand around the world. If a startup ecosystem need to thrive the media is among one of the key element for this to happen. And we want to help the Nordic startups thrive.
We have a legacy and opportunity, according to Forbes, we have four out of five countries in the top ten list for the best place to start a company. As Economist wrote back in 2012, if you should get reborn you should choose to be reborn in the Nordic region. This is a position that no other region in the world has, and if we add our legacy for technology startups we have a opportunity that are second to none.
