Lifee gets real

Swedish startup, FutureMe Labs are creators of Lifee – a wristband for kids that motivates physical activity while being entertaining and easy to use.

Wearable technology company Lifee has moved a step closer to being a real product with the delivery of a prototype to one of its biggest supporters and customers. The delivery was made by a delgation of Lifee founders.

Lifee was delivered in an exclusive gift box, designed and hand made by Malin Sandell, together with an owner’s certificate. The buyer is Richard Bremer, CEO of Inntrion, who placed the highest bid in our auction two weeks ago: 1.337 SEK. The money will go to charity (Rädda Barnen).

I am LifeeIt’s important to support innovations related to kids health and well-being. I will wear Lifee for a while, but then I will probably hand it over to a kid that needs it more then I do, said Richard.

Lifee is developed by Linköping based outfit, FutureMe Labs. The company was started in 2014 and is fronted by serial entrepreneur Tomas Ahlström and electronics engineer Anders Petersson. The piece of wearable tech tracks individual achievements, a challenge system, friend proximity features and much more and is set to be part of a crowd funding effort on Kickstarter later in 2015.

Lifee is currently backed by Incredible Concepts of Sweden, SPARV Embedded, ALMI Business Partners and New Tools For Health.
