HELSINKI — With under 100 days remaining until Slush 2026, organizers have officially opened applications for Slush 100, the flagship competition designed to surface the world’s most promising early-stage founders. This year’s edition features a landmark top prize: a single startup will receive €500,000 in equity-free capital on the main stage in front of an audience of 12,000 tech ecosystem leaders, venture capitalists, and media representatives.
Long considered the centerpiece of the annual conference, Slush 100 has undergone a complete revamp for 2026. Organizers revamped the contest to reflect a growing demand for high-conviction funding in the startup space, framing the capital injection as a critical resource for ambitious founders looking to experiment and scale quickly. In addition to the grand prize, the winner will earn an automatic spot to return as a featured speaker on the main stage at Slush 2027.
Beyond the ultimate winner, the competition offers substantial support for the top 20 contenders selected through the application process. These finalists will pitch live during Slush Week, gain access to customized 1:1 mentorship from the global Slush network, receive worldwide press visibility, and unlock high-level networking opportunities throughout the event.
Eligibility for this year’s competition is targeted specifically at early-stage companies. To qualify, startups must have been founded in 2023 or later, raised less than €10 million in total funding, and currently be at or before the seed stage. The strict criteria aim to ensure that the prize capital goes directly to high-potential, newly emerging enterprises.
