Trip Republic to represent Nordics at Travel Tech Disrupt Awards

Helsinki-based Trip Republic have been nominated for the Travel Technology Disrupt Award, the at the Travel Technology Europe conference in London on February 24-25th.  They are the sole Nordic company nominated this year.

Trip Republic has developed a seamless travel planning and booking solution and is currently in beta mode, with plans to launch a full website and iOS application next month.

“Our product is a large step towards the dream of ‘no fuss’ seamless travel”, says Joen Schauman, co-Founder and CEO.

With Trip Republic one is able to seamlessly gather information about travel and effectively get everything in order. The core of the experience is a user-friendly platform that ultimately allows fellow travelers to become inspired by other travelers. Users are also able to fully book all aspects of their travel, in one platform.

New travel tech partners with industry bigwigs

In connection with their trip planner, Trip Republic has integrated supply from travel industry leaders such as Skyscanner, Foursquare, Uber, Viagogo and Musement. Travel events and items have the ability to be added to “trips” and booked using Trip Republic.

Trip Republic boasts 60,000+ flights, 150,000+ hotels, 4,000+ restaurants, 1,000+ museums, and 1,000+ tours, with even more scheduled to appear in the near future. They have a growing amount of partners across the spectrum, which will lead to even more options in the future.

In a day and age where travel agents are no longer the norm in order to book travel, we are able to take things in to our own hands. However, Trip Republic wants to provide a more seamless experience to help ease some of the frustration that comes with booking travel.

Joen says, “Planning a trip and the actual execution of it has to get closer to each other. The industry has taken technological leaps that allow deeper integrations. For the first time, it is possible to create a service that takes the frustration out of travel.”
