Universal Avenue announces launch today

Stockholm based Universal Avenue is announcing the international launch of their ‘sales as a service’-app today.

With $2 million in investment and initial launch brands including e.g. iZettle and Spotify Business from Soundtrack Your Brand, Universal Avenue is ready to start helping small and medium size companies advance their businesses by introducing them to innovative solutions by prominent brands.

A helping hand in a packed market

During the last couple of years we have witnessed a still increasing number of innovative solutions for improving all kinds of business processes. However, many small and medium size companies either never discover these solutions or get lost in the vast amount of possibilities out there. Universal Avenue wishes to put an end to this and help the companies start improving themselves.

On the other side Universal Avenue of course helps the world’s top online brands to acquire new customers at scale. Initial launch brands include iZettle, Spotify Business from Soundtrack Your Brand, Wrapp and Lodgify.

Innovative solutions introduced by brand ambassadors

The way the company is run is quite unique: through the app a curated team of ‘brand ambassadors’ positioned around the world are trained about the details of each brand’s product.

In the app they can improve their skills in “The Academy”, follow their KPIs in “My Avenue” and work in “Work Mode”. In work mode they work from a map interface where relevant leads in their nearby area are displayed.

The use of the app makes it possible for the ambassadors to move around the world and work when and where they want. Get introduced to the ambassador role in the following video:

Important funding

Universal Avenue is seed funded by Moor (having closed a $2 million USD), which is a Stockholm based early stage VC and private investment arm of Kaj Hed (founder/majority shareholder of Rovio who created ‘Angry Birds’).

CEO and Co-Founder Johan Lilja comments:

“Moor believed strongly in the team, the market need for the solution and the unique scalability the case has. In addition the concept goes hand in hand with many of the trends we currently see in regards to how people are looking to work, with full freedom and flexibility”

The app is currently live on IOS and Android in Greece and Swedish markets, and are launching with some new brands in the UK in May next month.
