Confirmed: Musk buys Swede’s company

Elon Musk is buying the AI company Anysphere, co-founded by Swede Arvid Lunnemark, among others. The sale has been finalized for $60 billion.

There have long been rumors that Elon Musk’s SpaceX might buy Anysphere, and now the deal is done, Breakit reports. Anysphere has developed the AI tool Cursor, which competes with services from tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon. The relatively unknown Arvid Lunnemark, 26, is one of four founders.

Even though Lunnemark left his role at the company last year, he likely owns 4.5 percent of the shares, Breakit writes. Based on that data, he stands to make a profit of just under 25 billion Swedish kronor.

He studied at MIT, where he met the company’s other co-founders.
